Blueberry Muffins Recipe

One of my favourite channels on YouTube to watch at the moment is, Totally Sacha. The channel is based around cooking and baking in his kitchen creating simple and delicious recipes. His blueberry muffin recipe looked delicious, so I thought id give them a go!

What you will need
(I changed a few little things)

250g flour
2tbsp baking powder
50g butter
1 egg
5tbsp honey
200ml plain yoghurt
250g blueberries
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

(please excuse the missing egg I forgot to add to the photo)

Once you have measured out all of your ingredients, Pre heat your oven to gas mark 4 (180 Degrees Celsius).

Then take a large mixing bowl and add all of your ingredients except for the blueberries. Mix with a wooden spoon or as I prefer an electric whisk. Once the ingredients are all mixed together gently mix in the blueberries with a wooden spoon.

Once your mixture is ready, place 12 muffin cases into a muffin tray.

Then use an ice cream scoop to evenly place the mixture into the cases, you could always use just ordinary spoons for this as well.

Place in the oven for 25 - 30 minutes until golden brown.

To check if the muffins are cooked place a skewer through the centre of the muffin and if it comes out clean then they are cooked. If the skewer is not clean place back if the over for a few minutes and repeat the process with the skewer again until they are cooked through.

Leave the muffins to cool for around 45 minutes to an hour before eating. It's tempting I know!

Dust with icing sugar to finish and VoilĂ !

Hope you have fun making them!

Thanks Sacha, They're delicious!

Five shades of Spring - Lips Edition

Although it may not feel like Spring due to the miserable weather it's about time we brighten ourselves up and introduce a few Spring shades into our daily looks. From subtle to bold Spring is all about colour, so here's my top five shades for Spring.

...

First up is my all time favourite lipstick, MAC's Lady Danger. Lady Danger is a shocking red with subtle orange undertones, with a matte finish its long lasting and transfer resistant so perfect for daytime and evening. With most matte lip products they tend to be quite dehydrating on the lips, however Lady Danger is comfortable and not overly drying. Bright and bold with intense colour, would you dare to wear it?

Next up is Revlon's Colourburst Lip Butter in the shade, 090 Sweet Tart. Although more of a lip balm than a lipstick, Revlon's lip butters are hydrating and have good colour pay off. Subtle or bold, this product can offer you both with it's buildable colour. Sweet Tart is a pretty shade of pink perfect for Spring with a shiny finish and one of my favourite day to day lip products.

Next is one of last years releases from Rimmel, the Apocalips Lip Lacquer in the shade Stellar. Certainly one of the brighter shades from the range, Stellar is the perfect shade for Spring and Summer. The pigmentation of the lip lacquer is incredible with a great staying power and an opaque finish! The applicator is so simple to use allowing enough product for just one dip, the formula is moisturising and far from drying. For any bold lip lovers out there, this is definitely the colour for you..

For a neutral, subtle pink lip look no further. A lip product which constantly lives in my handbag is NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in the shade Beige, which is not at all beige but in fact pink. This lip gloss is not only moisturising with a non sticky finish but also smells like cherries, who doesn't love a well scented product? Leaving a glossy, long lasting finish, this is certainly one of my current favourite lip products for spring and I couldn't recommend it enough.

Last but not least is one of the most recent releases on the high street and it's one of Revlon's Colourburst Matte Balms in the shade Striking Spectaculaire. Although matte, I find the balm to be quite moisturising rather than drying which is great for a matte product! Striking Spectaculaire is a gorgeous true red with a velvety smooth finish, perfect for a night out. The crayon like product is retractable so there's no need for a sharpener and along with it's peppermint scent this product will be your new best friend.

Spring morning walk.

So it's been a pretty busy term at university, after many assignments, dominoes and an uncountable amount of late nights Term 2 is finally over. It's Easter break and there's nothing better than spending it with family friends and my best friend... Sir Tequila!

So living in a small village around 20 minutes out of the city has it's advantages, scenic views and country footpaths. There's no better way to relax on a Saturday than going for a walk with my two dogs on a crisp spring morning.

So how was your Saturday?
